Knowledge

It has often been said "Ignorance is bliss" or "What you don't know won't hurt you". Do you agree with these statements? Why or why not?

  1. Sometimes its true... not always. Example of when a girl is talking to a girl makes her feel special and she thinks he's the one and blah blah. Then she figures out that he makes not only her feel special but couple other more girls. So if she didn't know she would be happy but then it's good she figured it out. Better to be hurt by the truth than happy with a lie.

  2. I strongly dissagree. For an example, when you don't know something; yes it is not hurting you at the time, but later on when you do find out you're going to be hurt that you did not know at the time. Especially if it's something that involves your family, friends, or kids.
In my opinion, I would be mad because if something bad had happened and I could have prevented it that would make me feel like a bad person. What people don't think about is when they are informed about something that had happened a while back instead of at the time they are very hurt. So why they think that it's okay to do that to someone else beats me. Other peoples feeling are just as valid as yours.

  3. i don't agree . Honesty is in fact a must have in any friendship , relationship , etc. . I wanna know everything for better or for worse . The truth hurts , but i'de rather not be lied to because once the truth is known , i bet i would hurt a lot more than if i would have just been told the truth in the first place ...........
